The Friday the 13th Variety Show was a slashing (pun intended) success using the eponymous movie franchise to inform the macabre theme for this show. The variety show is a reoccurring event hosted by the T Sisters featuring local talent and touring musical groups. More about the variety show here…

Ben Morrison
EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT! Ben Morrison, lead singer for The Brothers Comatose, is developing his solo act and it’s a beauty to behold! Joining him on vocals for his second song was Erika Tietjen of the T Sisters, their voices mingling in intimate harmony on theme-appropriate song “Creep” by Radiohead. Stay tuned for more news and upcoming release from the handsomest member of The Brothers Comatose!

Kiva
Kiva rocked the house with an incredible original tune about gun violence, performing both the rap and the singing parts. It was a powerful statement from a strong and creative young person!

Hattie and Joe Craven
Hattie Craven graced us with her beautiful and powerful voice with two songs from a recent recording project. Her father Joe Craven, an incredible musician and performer, provided tasty backup on the octave mandolin for his talented daughter. We’re so thrilled that our show is a stop on the journey for this emerging talent!

Token Girl
Token Girl drew the audience in with their raw sound and rad style as a rhythm section-led band consisting of lead-singer, band leader + bass player Liss accompanied by the solid beats of Libby on drums. They even had our fabulous sound engineer for the show, Jules, sitting in on background vocals from the sound board.

Ramsey Tietjen
Ramsey Tietjen is a regular performer of the Chthonic Theater variety show and father to the show’s hosts, the T Sisters! Ramsey’s soulful voice, poignant original tunes and groovy self-accompaniment on acoustic guitar had the audience rapt with his unique yet classic style.

Emily Afton
Emily Afton entranced the audience with her unique performance and deeply beautiful voice. Accompanied by Adam Lowdermilk on electric bass and her own electric guitar along with looped beats and harmonies, Emily built a perfect soundscape for her powerful lyrics. We were so lucky to have this rising star at our cabaret!

Sarabande
Sarabande is a relatively new group led by virtuoso singer, guitar & keyboard player and songwriter Madeline Tasquin and joined by powerhouses Shiloh Parkerson and Hannah Levy on supporting and lead vocals. Their otherworldly harmonies are reminiscent of power trios such as “The Andrews Sisters” and contemporaries, “I’m With Her,” but with a quirky edge that makes you want to turn up the fun meter and savor the present moment with these goddesses.

T Sisters
T Sisters are old news! lol. As hosts and organizers for the variety show, the T Sisters always imbue the show with their light-hearted sibling humor and (in)famous sassy harmonies while giving the production a down-to-earth-we-just-barely-made-this-happen-with-our-crazy-tour-schedule-but-we-love-you-and-will-do-this-forever vibe. You can expect to find the T Sisters wherever you find a Chthonic Theater variety show because it wouldn’t happen without them!

Speaking of people who makes this show happen, Jonny Meshugenah has been mc’ing the variety show for what seems like a lifetime what with all of the so-bad-they’re-BAD jokes he tells. LOL, but in earnest, Jonny is an integral part of the Chthonic team who in the weeks leading up to the show helps plan the key moments that make all the pieces stick together to form one semi-cohesive show and keeps everyone laughing the whole time!
