T Sisters Organize BAM/PFA Parade

We were recently approached by the director of the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive to organize a parade to celebrate both the impending move of the museum to a new building and the winter solstice on December 21st, 2014.

Having organized parades in our Oakland neighborhood, Jingletown, we gladly accepted and began the parade preparations. Since the parade would be on a winter evening, we created parade props that would light up, such as paper lanterns and a large paper maché golden sun.

We invited MJ’s Brass Boppers, a fantastic New Orleans brass band, to lead the procession. It was a great success and upwards of 200 people joined in the celebration.
