After struggling for some time to find a venue after our original location didn’t open in time, we ended up having our album release party in the backyard of Sam’s Log Cabin, a sweet breakfast spot in Albany.
This turned out to be a wonderfully unique place for a show with the casual, fun vibe of a backyard party but also a captivated audience for the live music and great sound! The neighbors even got to watch the show from their homes! In fact, there were a couple of young girls watching from a tree house behind the stage — too cool!
The event was an unofficial double CD release party with our good friends American Nomad. Both bands shared the fact that we just finished new albums under the production of Bay Area bluegrass legend, Laurie Lewis. Another local band, Quiles and Cloud, opened the show with a wonderful set of original folk and Americana.
The official release date for our new album, Kindred Lines, is May 13th. At that point it will be available for online purchase and streaming.
Thanks so much to everyone who put in the time and effort to make this space a wonderful concert setting with a delightful ambiance. Thanks to those who volunteered at the event and the hosts. Thanks to all of the performers and the audience and, last but not least, our wonderful sound man, Dan!
