We T’s are home from a few weeks on the road and reflecting on the great times we had with the incredible musicians and extremely kind fellows of the Travelin’ McCourys. We were blown away by the talent of these world-class bluegrass musicians, but on top of that they were fun and down-to-earth kindred spirits. We toured up and down the west coast with them from Montana down to Arcada and were lucky to be exposed to many music fans who had never heard of the T Sisters.
We had fun comparing experiences of being in a band with your family with Ronny and Rob (sons of Del McCoury,) but clearly Alan, Jason, Cody and “Key” are part of the family too! They are all great examples of hard-working musicians who balance family and the rigors of touring with a positive attitude. We came home inspired to practice… A LOT!
